One more thing...

Gene writes: The operation is over. Now I wait for my incision to heal for two weeks. Then out with the stitches and we fly back to CR. One thing I forgot about hospitals though...they like to wake you at 3a.m. to take your temp,!
I highly recommend the Mayo Clinic and the staff of doctors they have.
The next posts should about cleaning out, selling, throwing out, and all the stuff one does before moving. Edging closer to Lima.

Still lots to do...

Gene writes: Making a move seems so easy at first blush. Who thought I would be having surgery again. Tomorrow to be exact. That will delay things for a while. How long? No se? Looking at July, Aug. I heal fast. This move will be good mental therapy. Out with the junk. Where will we be living, new or used? Starting over! A new studio!

New Toy

If packed very carefully, a 27" computer monitor can be brought home in one's backpack and carried on.

We'll be Back

So Dr Hanel got in there with the fancy high tech procedure and found that he was not able to fix Gene using the embollization process because of where the fistulas are located. So we came back home for a couple of weeks and then will return to Jacksonville for him to correct the problem using surgery instead. We are all very disappointed, but have a great deal of faith in the doctor as well as Mayo Clinic, so are anxiously awaiting a good outcome. Had some nice sushi and wine in the airport on the way home!
