We have many fabulous friends in Costa Rica and know that we will see everyone again. We would love it if everyone would come to visit us in Lima. But meanwhile...
muchisimo gracias a mi hermana Emma para la fiesta fantastica!

What a great party...
So many friends have come to bid us a fond farewell. Jon and Emma out did them self's. Great food and drink, with plenty of conversations in both Spanish and English. Lots of laughter. I got a little over whelmed when everyone arrived. FRIENDS! I felt very rich at that moment and humbled at the same time. I will truly miss them.
I hope that the friends that said they will visit us in Peru can really make it. Well now I have to wrap up this entry to get all my stuff repacked and ready for 3am!
Up, Up, and away...

Marking time...
Sunday afternoon waiting for the rain to start. Today has been hot through the morning then that cool/cold gust of air comes in and you know that rain is not far behind. Just 36 hours left before Laurie and I say good by to Costa Rica. Tomorrow we take one last trip to the house, throw out all those trash bags, and hope that the "stuff" left in the car port gets taken away by anyone that wants them. Maybe I should leave the carport front door open with a sign saying "Thefts Welcome"! :-) No self respecting theft would fall for that though. There has to be risk involved.
This blog will have to draw to a close when we land further South. Either that or change the name. Can anyone reading this blog remember the signs on cars or VW bus "Moving to(fill in the name) or bust".
I wonder if Continental Air Lines will let me write on the plane "To Lima Peru or bust". Not , but it's a thought. (to be continued)

Echos of the past...
The movers are gone and the house is empty except for the echos. A house that is devoid of furnishings has a hollow sound to it, as though all the life has been drained out, and the only thing that remains are the echos of the past. Many happy get-together s with friends.
Just some more sweeping and throwing out or giving away the last of the items that did not sell in the garage sell and the plastic coolers that I forgot to bring to Emma and Jon . Our remaining days in Costa Rica are with our friends Jon and Emma. They are excellent hosts.

Robledale's - Great Place for a Good Bye Lunch
We're still not ready to say Good Bye, so we just keep practicing it over and over and over. An excuse for lunch with great friends is always a good thing.

Feria Gastronomica Internacional de Lima
Laurie writes: Absolutely cannot believe I am going to miss this food fest!
Fortunately it's an annual event - so I have another thing to look forward to in 2011.

Thank You & Farewell, Vilma & Joe
Those awesome party-throwers, Vilma and Joe, invited the Conversation Group to their house for lunch to say good bye to us today. Gosh! There are a lot of people who are anxious to say good bye to us! Hope all these fun people plan to visit us in Lima!

Another Good Bye Lunch?
None of us has ever been able to pass up an opportunity to eat at Pane y Pizza Don Carlo! But I don't think we're ready to call this a Good Bye lunch yet. Just a fun lunch date with Emma & Jon and Goldye & Steve!
