13 Hello! Click Here to Say Something!:
Well, I'm out here. Where did you catch cold? We don't get sick often, and Madelle thinks it's because we never see any strangers. Just stay in our cave. Actually, I go out to the store, and we went to the movies Thursday, and she went to a lentil party down the street today. Lentil party--we have very exciting social lives. But she doesn't think there was anyone contagious there.
No wonder the hospitals in Peru are running out of supplies. Peru has been invaded by a bunch of aliens who stagger about, fall down, crack the pavement, and demand bandages.
Well, hello there!
Did you find out if you need to be a resident to get the store discount cards?
It's so comforting to know that Larry is always out there...
Gene: answer these questions. I'm too sick and tired to talk...
Well Laurie, there's others of us lurkng, too, vibing get well wishes even if we do not post all the time.
Hope you feel better. It it's a cold you'll be done with it in about 7 days unless you take some cold medicine. Then it can take 8 to ten days to get over it! (Those people selling cold remedies seem to have it all figured out.)
Glad to see that Gene is becoming more photogenic again. I'm sure he's glad to feel better, too.
Hate you showing us all those scrumptious deserts! I'd bet that some of 'em are rich enough to make Willie Wonka's sweet tooth positively ache! Glad they're just photos that we're seeing from this end. (A person can't gain weight from a tasty looking photo, can they?)
Cheers!
Paul M.

We are out here but there is a hot topic over at expat Peru [link=http://expatperu.com/expatforums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11358&p=68085#p68085]ExPat Peru[/link]
wow you're intrepid people!
So many comments, so nice. Rosie, Hmmm intrepid? Laurie and I have never thought of ourselves as intrepid. We do like to travel,I started later in life then Laurie. I guess if you look at this planet in relationship to the size of our solar system then moving or roaming around the world is like moving down the street. So many places, so little time.
Laurie is feeling better today, but not enough to venture out.
Anonymous, I looked at that expatperu item. The less said about that stuff here, for me the better.
Larry, I'm still not sure if you need residence to get a store card.
About me, The discolor around my eyes is clearing up each day. The blackness is now going to redness.
And so now you are the man with the technicolor eyes.
Hi Laurie. Don't know if you remember me, we met for coffee earlier this year with two other women at Cafe LaPaz. You and I walked home together down Pardo. I see you made your move to Lima, good for you. I'm in California now and will be back in Lima probably in January. Maybe we can get together sometime. Hope your cold gets better.
Betti Conder
Hey, Betty! I'm glad to hear from you - and will look forward to seeing you again in January. Let's do that women and wine thing again!
Larry: I'm pretty sure that most stores anyhow require residency to get their card. I just thought it might be interesting to ask at each place. Seems like I've been missing a lot of good deals without their tarjetas. Since I've been down with this cold, I haven't felt like bothering with any of it.
Paul: Glad to hear you're still out there! I don't really miss Costa Rica, but I definitely miss all the great friends we made there. Lots of good memories.
