I like my new Doctor, but...
I have a new Doctor at our clinic Good Hope. Just had a follow up appointment to get a report on my blood test and others. Well everything looked good except he wants me to cut out red meats, wine, and reduce my salt intake. Well I can go with two out of three. But my glass of vino at dinner? That's just asking too much! Wine is good for you. I don't smoke or do drugs so one glass of the fruit of the vine at dinner or in the evening, I think is OK. No?

9 Hello! Click Here to Say Something!:
Gene, reducing salt intake is a good thing. The other two--strictly optional!
Larry,
Did you Google that or did your Dr. tell you that?
Oh, I've known about salt for a long time. But since my mother and my wife never added salt to what they were cooking, I grew up not expecting it.
Well how about salt on popcorn, french fries, and corn on the cob?
No need for salt on popcorn or french fries (although Madelle pours it on them). But yes, salt on corn on the cob. But how often do you have that?
In the summer my sister has that sweet yellow New England corn almost every night! I hate her.
But you can have all the salt you want on french fries, popcorn and corn on the cob as long as you don't put it on anything else, which is totally unnecessary anyhow.
Laurie, have you recoveredIt took me two full weeks to get over my whoop=like cough. But it's finally all gone.
There should be a question mark and a space after recovered.
