Cramming for Spanish exams...

Just like the good old days, trying to learn all you should have all month, in one night! I wish I could be writing this in Spanish without the use of Google translate. Someone once said " Spanish is an easy language to learn, but is made difficult, by complicated people."
Google could not handle it when I ran it back spanish to english.
Well back to the exams. It will be me against the verbs. ir, ar, dar, estar. Then what do you call things in spanish. I think the class is aimed at a 7th grade student, not an old fart like me. I'll try my best.

We (Nosotros) are working on a project that is a lot more fun. Will let you know more as it progresses.
Laurie would be posting but she is very busy cramming for her exams.
Are we having fun or what? :-))

Actually I'm not cramming, although I never seem to get around to studying. What I am doing, in between multi-tasking about 5 other things, is trying to write my month-end presentation for the class. This month's theme is travel. We have to make a presentation about a trip we have taken in the past - preferably with video included - and also discuss a trip we plan for the future. I should have started earlier in the month.

Laurie, Gene,

I'd think the spanish in El Perú would be easier than Tico spanish.

Do the Peruanos mumble like the Ticos tend to do?

Actually I'm not familiar with Peruvian spanish so I can't be sure how well they pronounce it, but it has to be easier than CR spanish!

Cheers!

You're right, Paul. Most people here tend to speak very precisely and clearly. It's much easier to understand. Still getting used to using the "tu" form and saying "Buenos dias, Senor" instead of "Buen dia!" Oh! And having "palta" on my salad instead of "aguacate!"

The Palta are a Peruvian Native American ethnic group. They speak the Palta language. (From Wikipedia)

And you can have them on your salad?

We will not sign up for this month because of having to leave the country to renew our visas and will miss too much. However we will be back to the books in April.

And Gene will use this month for review and continue to study his on-line lessons and work with his in-house tutor so that he will be ready to conquer it all in his April class back in our wonderful school down the street.
