Grilled beef heart on a stick. Marinated in some kind of fabulous concoction which makes it taste totally fabulous. Best when found on the side of a little street somewhere. The more people lined up to buy a serving, the better it will be. Crowds, smoke, happy people, great food - and sometimes even tv to watch while you wait! What more could you ask for!

1 Hello! Click Here to Say Something!:
I love beef heart but in Alajuela and San Joaquín de las Flores at the several Peruvian restaurants I have tried they always seem to be out of the anticuchos. [sigh]
I wouldn't mind knowing what they are seasoned with at those little puestos along the street where you are, Laurie, if they'll tell you how they do it.
I'm sure I could find the right seasonings here in Tampa if I just knew what they were and it would be worth starting a fire for, too!
Cheers!
