I am sure that Uncle Nello would have enjoyed hearing that we had some fun while in Florida.
After finishing up with Uncle Nello's affairs
, we had the opportunity to spend some time with other friends and family in Florida. We got to see our great friends Emma and Jon, who were our closest buddies (Emma my adopted "sister") back in our Costa Rica days. After we moved to Peru, they ended up moving to Florida. I had desperately wanted to see Emma the last time I was up there, but somehow it had not worked out. This time I just decided I was going to see her, and started driving their way.
After a couple of days with Emma and Jon, we drove south, back to our old haunt, Hollywood, where we got to visit, however briefly, with my best friend Gail. Fortunately we almost always get to see Gail and her husband Tony when we are up north, since we usually fly in and out of either Miami or Fort Lauderdale, and they live between the two. No matter how brief the visit, Gail and I always enjoy each other's company tremendously.

Emma and I are sooooooo lucky to have Laurie as our friend.....and Gene, too! Like Laurie said, the visit was way too brief, only a couple of hours, but better than not seeing them at all. Gail
