El Kapallaq! Probably still my favorite restaurant in town. Too bad they moved. When we discovered them, they were four blocks from our apartment. Today we went and checked out their new location on the other side of Miraflores. Still the same impeccable service, incredible food, lots of attention from owner/chef Luis Cordero (who remembered us from the old neighborhood and treated us to pisco sours!) The new place is beautiful, has twice as much space as the old place, a separate (small) bar, a totally open kitchen. In short, we totally love the new place. On the other hand, we really miss the old place, with its old style charm, its intimacy, its feeling that it was your own secret hideaway. We had a wonderful lunch with new friends Carol and Roger, along with the unstoppable Dorothee! Great Saturday afternoon!

3 Hello! Click Here to Say Something!:
Laurie took the pictures, but I eat the fish on the plate and it was awesome. It is nice to feel like old friend, not just another customer. Chef Luis is a friend.
Wow. Looks amazing...
You would love it, Mark! Next time you're here, I'll take you there.
